Awards

We hold a celebration assembly every Monday morning when the awards listed below are presented in front of the whole school and invited parents and carers.

 

  • Headteacher's Award - presented to one child selected each week by their class teacher for their achievements in school in the previous week.  
  • Nomination Award - presented to one child nominated by their peers in the following week.

 

Each week we also have three special awards in assembly.

 

  • Attendance - the class with the highest attendance for the week
  • Behaviour - for moving around school, lining up at breaks and general behaviour in school
  • Classroom - the tidiest classroom as judged by school council members

 

These awards are framed and the class they are awarded to gets to keep the framed certificate in their classroom for the week.

 

When a class wins one of these awards at a Monday celebration assembly they get an extra five minutes playtime at Monday break.

 

We also encourage children to share their outside achievements in this celebration assembly each week.
